I’m Patrick Gorden, founder of White Collar Woodsmen. My journey began in 2015, just after marrying my amazing wife, Sarah. At that time, White Collar Woodsmen was all about creativity and connection—Sarah and I traveled together, selling beard oils and grooming products at vendor shows while raising our kids, Isla and Declan. Isla, our family’s little performer, loved being part of the adventure, but with Declan’s arrival, the hustle of trade shows became too much for us. In 2022, we passed the beard oil business to a family friend, closing a memorable chapter.
Family is at the heart of everything I do. The support, laughter, and energy they bring remind me daily why I strive to create a life rooted in both professional achievement and authentic living.
In February 2024, everything changed when a busted HVAC valve at our church made it literally rain on our IT equipment. What started as a disaster turned into an opportunity to rebuild smarter and stronger. Most of the church’s electronics were destroyed—networking gear, TVs, battery backups, and more. I stepped in to help us start fresh, designing and installing a new, scalable technology infrastructure with redundancy, security, and growth in mind.
This experience was a wake-up call about the importance of thoughtful IT planning. It inspired me to steer White Collar Woodsmen toward remote IT services, where I now help organizations set up networks, security, and backup systems tailored to their needs. The satisfaction of seeing technology empower others is what drives me every day.
The name White Collar Woodsmen is a nod to the duality in my life: the balance between corporate professionalism and my deep love for the outdoors. Thanks to my clients, my family and I have the freedom to unplug, explore parks, fish, hunt, and practice conservation whenever possible. Those moments in nature are just as important to me as my work—they’re where I recharge and reconnect with what matters most.
If you’re interested in IT solutions from someone who values both expertise and authenticity, I’d love to talk. I’m always happy to answer questions, help you brainstorm, or be your “I know a guy” for anything IT.
